Terms and Conditions

These terms outline the rules and guidelines for booking our ornithological excursions and purchasing binoculars or spotting scopes from our shop.

1. General Provisions

Welcome to Feather & Field. By using our website, booking our birdwatching tours, or purchasing observation equipment from our optics shop, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued engagement with our services or shop constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Tour Bookings & Cancellations

Our guided birdwatching excursions operate in carefully selected observation spots, wetlands, and forests. To secure your place on a tour, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Cancellations by You: You may cancel your excursion up to 14 days before the scheduled date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the tour are non-refundable, as group sizes are strictly limited to minimize disturbance to local wildlife.
  • Cancellations by Us: Feather & Field reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to severe weather conditions or unexpected access restrictions at the observation spots. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or a chance to reschedule.
  • Itinerary Changes: Ornithological observation depends highly on weather and bird behavior. Guides may alter the exact route on the day of the tour to ensure the best possible learning and viewing experience.

3. Optics Shop Purchases

We provide high-quality binoculars, spotting scopes, and learning resources through our optics shop. All physical goods remain the property of Feather & Field until full payment has been received.

Returns & Exchanges: If you are unsatisfied with your optics equipment, you may return the item within 30 days of purchase, provided it is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Returns of learning materials or field guides are not accepted if the protective seal is broken.

Warranty: Binoculars and scopes are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. We are happy to assist you in contacting the manufacturer should your equipment require repair under warranty.

4. Liability & Safety

Birdwatching tours involve walking through natural, sometimes uneven terrain. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of completing the excursion and must wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

Feather & Field accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings (including your own observation equipment) sustained during a tour, except where such injury or loss is caused by our direct negligence.
